HAPPENED?\u00a0<\/strong>The Glazer family have opened themselves up to offers for the Premier League giants, with all formal bids needing to be on the table before the New York Stock Exchange closes on Friday.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goal.com\/en-in\/news\/man-utd-takeover-elon-musk-the-emir-of-qatar-and-everything-you-need-to-know-about-bids-deadline-and-the-glazer-sale-process\/bltbcef529a163f1efe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A number of interested parties<\/a>\u00a0are said to have already put their proposals forward \u2013 with the likes of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goal.com\/en-in\/news\/tesla-twitter-elon-musk-monitoring-man-utd-deadline-takeover-bids-157-billion\/blt20dc0a5c67494efd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elon Musk reported to be keen<\/a>\u00a0on exploring takeover options.<\/p><p><strong>THE BIGGER PICTURE:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/football\/2023\/02\/16\/saudi-arabia-poised-make-manchester-united-takeover-offer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-vars-click-url=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/football\/2023\/02\/16\/saudi-arabia-poised-make-manchester-united-takeover-offer\/ \"><em>The Telegraph<\/em><\/a>\u00a0now reports that several groups in Riyadh have made enquiries about United and have signed for sale materials. Saudi interest has previously been shown in Chelsea, when they changed hands in 2022, while the nation\u2019s \u00a3515 billion ($614bn) Public Investment Fund (PIF) is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goal.com\/en-in\/news\/newcastle-takeover-saudi-led-group-completes-300m-purchase\/vmdt4lvilf591aadfd8y0tqy9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">already involved with Newcastle United<\/a>.<\/p><p><strong>AND WHAT&#8217;S MORE:\u00a0<\/strong>Saudi investors have also sought to buy into Manchester United before, but found that the Glazers were only interested in parting with a 20 per cent stake back then.
